In His Words

A Letter from the Owner

The Saugerties Stallions are committed to establishing the finest quality ballplayers on and off the field. They will accomplish this feat by holding themselves to the highest standards available and giving back to our community in multiple ways and endeavors.

One of our main goals is to reach out to the seniors and the disabled who are unable to attend the ball games and bring the positive vibes from our field to their living environment. Many seniors crave meaningful involvement in their communities for a way to increase their social lives, bridge generation gaps, and feel that they are helping others.

Continuing their collegiate league experiences, ballplayers will be interacting with youth groups, food banks, local libraries, elementary schools, and so many more important attributes that community has to offer.

Visiting local hospitals and cancer treatment centers has to be one of the hardest but most rewarding tasks that players will be involved in this upcoming season. Stallions players will show up frequently offering gifts, laughs, and lending an ear.

Let us keep our eye on the ball in allowing these young men to offer their life experiences when it comes to bullying and peer pressure along with the negative effects that it has on today's youth.

This, with a host of other forms of outreach, is what the Saugerties Stallions community will be striving for during the 2016 season and beyond.
